The hotline is now available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


Food AssistanceALL LOS ANGELES UNIFIED STUDENTS MAY EAT UP TO THREE MEALS PER DAY ON CAMPUS

Under CA Universal Meals Policy, every student is entitled to a free breakfast and lunch daily. Please encourage your student to come to the cafeteria to get a breakfast and lunch meal.

Supper meals* are available to all LAUSD students ages 1-18 AT DISMISSAL. Community children between the ages of 1-18 can also receive a supper meal at all sites offering supper AT DISMISSAL. Operating Monday through Friday at most district schools. Click below for a list of participating schools nearest you.

*Supper meals are served at dismissal after the instructional day has ended. Per program requirements, the supper meal must be eaten on campus.


LA Parks

LA County Parks Food Programs

LA County Parks is expanding the capacity of its Food Programs at parks. LA County Parks provides the following food safety net services programs for youth, teens, and seniors. These food programs are:

  • Free Youth Snack Program at 48 parks (Monday - Friday @ 3pm-4pm) — ages 17 and under.
  • Free Hot Supper (Dinner) Teen Program at 16 parks (Monday - Friday @ 7pm) — ages 12 to 18 years old. (Per program requirements, the supper meal must be eaten on campus)
  • Free Senior Food Program for older adults at 9 parks (Monday - Friday @ 11am-1pm) – age 60+

City of LA FamilySource Center Weekly Food Distribution

Come pick up fresh produce, pantry staples, and other groceries for you and your family — completely free of charge. FamilySource Centers serve ALL Angelenos regardless of immigration status. All are welcome — we are here to serve you!

Eligibility:

  • Must reside in the City of Los Angeles
  • Low-income individuals and families

LA Food BankCity of Maywood - Mobile Food Pantry (Monthly)

The City of Maywood, in partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and the YMCA, hosts a monthly Mobile Food Pantry.

Held every 3rd Monday of every month at the Southeast Rio Vista YMCA. This program is open to the Community and is free of charge.

Cudahy Food DistributionCity of Cudahy - Food Distribution (Monthly)

Cudahy’s food distribution is open to all Cudahy residents in need, and is brought to you in partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
 
Eligibility: All participants must be Cudahy residents to be eligible to receive services. 
 
Monthly Food Distribution Schedule
  • Dates: Every fourth Thursday of the month
  • Hours: 9:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Location: Clara Park, 4835 Clara Street, Cudahy, CA 90201
    • Pre-registration happens the week prior of the 4th Thursday on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Clara Park's Recreation office. It is recommended that you pre-register but it is not required.
 
November & December Food Distribution Holiday Schedule
  • Dates: Third Thursday of the month
  • Hours: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Location: Clara Park, 4835 Clara Street, Cudahy, CA 90201 
    • Pre-registration happens the week prior of the 3rd Thursday on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Clara Park's Recreation office. It is recommended that you pre-register but it is not required.

WICSpecial Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

If you are pregnant or have a child under 5, WIC can help provide nutritious foods and more resources to keep your growing family healthy.

YMCA FeedLAYMCA FeedLA - Food Delivery & Produce Distributions

When families need support, FeedLA is there with more than a meal. It’s a moment of relief, a bridge to belonging. Depending on the location and program, you can stop by a Y center to pick up fresh produce, sign up for home deliveries, or bring your kids for a hot meal. FeedLA programs happen all month at Ys across LA—no cost, no catch, just support when you need it.

All 29 LA Y centers are activating weekly food distributions to ensure our communities have access to healthy food in this time of crisis. Click here for a list of FeedLA Produce Distribution sites and their hours.

LAUSD Foundation LogoLAUSD Education Foundation - Compassion Fund

The LAUSD Education Foundation is launching an urgent appeal through its Compassion Fund to provide emergency assistance for families most affected by the loss of SNAP benefits. Working in close coordination with Los Angeles Unified, the Foundation will distribute funds in the form of grocery gift cards and direct family support to ensure immediate relief.

Schools across the District will also be invited to plan Food Drives to help replenish local food banks and pantries. Families and neighbors are encouraged to donate non-perishable items such as canned fruits and vegetables, soups, rice, beans, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, and shelf-stable milk.
